Food and Drink NearbyAt the end of a busy diving day, there is nothing better than relaxing with a nice pint and a bite to eat. Why not try one of the places below. Trengilly Wartha Trengilly Wartha is a friendly local Cornish inn, and The Trengilly's bar offers excellent food and fine wines and ales. Being a free house we offer a choice of unusual ales, several of which are served straight from the stillages. We feature up to twenty wines by the glass and a selection of over 150 by the bottle and also specialise in malt whiskies with over 40 available. Our Bar Menu is available both lunchtimes and evenings. The selection includes several of the more popular dishes as well as some more unusual ones. Enjoy them by a blazing fire in winter, or under our vine shaded pergola in summer and our pretty beer garden has fine views of the valley. We also have a family room in the conservatory area. For a little more formal dining, we have “The Bistro”. The Bistro is furnished with hand made furniture made by local students for their cabinet making course. We have our regulars’ favourite Bistro menu as well as the burgeoning specials board and three top Cornish chefs compete to provide our specials. Our menus cover a range of locally produced meats and game, with fish and shellfish from local waters, modern vegetarian dishes, rich imaginative desserts and Cornish cheeseboard with home made biscuits, all cooked under supervision of the owners, Will & Lisa Lea. The Greenhouse Restaurant The Greenhouse offers modern rustic cooking using quality local seasonal organic produce and local game and fish. We have a daily menu which reflects the produce available to us on the day. The meat from the butcher may vary through the course of the week, the fish that is caught varies with the season and the weather, and as the seasons change different vegetables are available. This means we can produce a fresh, exciting menu all year round. All our bread, pastries, ice-creams, sorbets & desserts are made on the premises. Children always welcome and small portions from the menu can be made for some dishes & all diets & tastes are catered for. The Witchball The Witchball is the most southerly pub in mainland Britain and is situated in the picturesque Lizard village. Opened in June 2007, our aim is to offer good quality food and drink at reasonable prices. We have worked hard with our suppliers to provide you with local Cornish food and drink to complement the ambience of this 600 year old pub. Our family run establishment offers the finest Cornish Ales and we specialise in providing fresh sea food and fish and pride ourselves in the short time it takes from fishing boat to table! Often we serve lobster at lunchtime that has been landed that morning in nearby Cadgwith Cove. We have an extensive lunchtime, evening and specials menu. When the weather is good you can enjoy dining in the sun outside on the patio, or in the evening, inside in front of a warming coal fire in the bar, or in the restaurant or in our snug. If you wish to dine with us in the evening, it’s advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment. When you arrive, be sure to ask for today’s specials to see what Adam or Dee are cooking fresh for you in the kitchen. The Top House The Top House is located in the heart of Lizard village, which is the most southerly point in Britain. The Top House has been a hostelry for more than 200 years and prior to this a farmhouse – it still retains the real country feel. We are open all day from 12.00 pm serving fine ales and excellent home-cooked food. We host regular live entertainment, quizzes, local singers, themed menus and many other events throughout the year and we can assure you of a very warm welcome. There is an exciting menu offering traditional pub fayre, at excellent value for money and served to you in our dining area. Come and join us for a traditional Sunday Roast with an excellent selection of wines to compliment your meal. White Hart Hotel The Whitehart Pub has a traditional country feel to it with hanging horse brasses, an open log fire and great, well kept real ales on hand pump, with a guest ale weekly. We offer a wide range of facilities for you to enjoy including Bed & Breakfast accommodation, fine dining and Public Bar. We have developed our menus using the finest fresh local produce and have an extensive Chef's Specials board featuring local seafood. Paris Hotel At the Paris Hotel, the Ocean View restaurant serves a varied selection consisting of locally caught fresh fish, shellfish, meats, and vegetarian options, supplemented with a quality wine list. Every dish is freshly prepared especially for you. The chef has a wide and varied experience that allows him to cater for every taste from traditional English to spicy oriental, with deserts to die for! There is a very special view from our restaurant which has sea on three sides. Roskillys Roskillys are better known for their wonderful ice-creams. All their tasty ice creams, fudge and yoghurts are made using rich organic Jersey milk and cream and taste both indulgent and delicious. The milk comes from the 94 strong herd of Jersey cows which graze on pastures that have been farmed in a traditional and sustainable way for generations. Time, knowledge, creativity and hard work are at the heart of what they do. Crafted, skilled and innovative ice cream artisans simply strive to make the best taste. Roskillys also have a café and patio dining area serving lunch or afternoon tea.
